AXA Winter Weeks Thuringia
Oberhof is looking forward to hosting the Viessmann FIS Nordic Combined World Cup, the COOP FIS Cross-Country World Cup, and the EBERSPÄCHER Luge World Cup. As part of the AXA Winter Weeks Thuringia 2026, you have the unique opportunity to attend three World Cup events in one weekend.
On January 17 and 18, 2026, Oberhof will be the place to be for all winter sports fans.

Following the Biathlon World Cup, the AXA Winter Weeks – Thuringia 2026 will reach their climax this coming weekend with three World Cups. Fans can cheer on the competitors in cross-country skiing, Nordic combined, and luge, and enjoy top-class sport.

As part of the Coop FIS Cross-Country World Cup 2024 in Oberhof, the German talents in the U14 and U15 age groups also made their grand appearance. They have competed in the DSV e.infra Schülercup in the LOTTO Thüringen ARENA am Rennsteig.

The organizers have given the green light: from Friday, the comeback of the cross-country skiing elite will be celebrated in the Thuringian Forest. Eleven years after the last major event for cross-country athletes, the Coop FIS Cross-Country World Cup is returning to Oberhof. "The final work is underway. Our network of organizers, consisting of Oberhof Sport und Event GmbH, the Thuringian Winter Sports Centre, the German Ski Association and the Thuringian Ski Association, are working hand in hand to create the best conditions for the athletes and their teams and to offer the cross-country skiing fans a great live experience," says OC boss Bernd Wernicke.
